What We did Today?

Chocolate Granola bar 

Event:I had planned on developing a nutritious granola bar with natural sweeteners. 

How I felt it (initially before executing the actual task): I was excited to make a nutrient-rich granola bar.

What did I learn?

The Granola bar is packed with all healthy ingredients, such as roasted rolled oats, almond bits, pumpkin seeds, sunflower seeds, and dark chocolate, sweetened with natural organic honey and dates. The process involves melting chocolate to liquid consistency by bringing it to a suitable temperature. A specific method called double boiling was used to melt the chocolate since it must not be heated over the flame. Roasting the nuts and seeds can help bring out the oil and give a natural nutty flavour to the product. The ingredients were mixed slowly to ensure uniformity. Then the mixture was poured into the mould to get the desired shape and cooled at a suitable temperature for the stipulated time

Outcome :

A ready-to-eat, nutritious granola bar with excellent taste and aroma was formulated at the Food Research Lab.

What went well?

The trial was completed with a satisfactory outcome. The granola bars were perfectly set and had the perfect taste and aroma of nut and chocolate.  

What Could I have done better?

The trial needs further improvement in reducing the sweetness and increasing the nuts.
