Job Function/Role Summary:
This role will be based in Chennai The Head of Sales, Business Development & Project Coordination at FRL is a senior leadership role responsible for overseeing and driving the sales, business development, and project management activities, particularly focusing on New Project Feasibility (NPF) and Market Research (MR). This role involves leading a team to ensure the successful closure of leads, achievement of sales targets, and efficient coordination of projects. The Head will monitor the entire sales pipeline, ensure that all leads are followed up, and that client requirements are thoroughly understood and met. Additionally, this role includes strategic planning, generating new leads through marketing campaigns, assessing the feasibility of new projects, scheduling, and maintaining strong client relationships. The position demands a results-oriented leader with strong organizational and communication skills.
Required Qualification:
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Marketing, Project Management, or a related field.
- A master’s degree in a relevant discipline is preferred.
Required Experience:
- Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in sales, business development, or project management, with at least 3 years in a leadership role, preferably within the food, nutraceutical, or consumer goods industries.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Team Leadership and Monitoring:
- Lead and mentor the Sales, Business Development, and Project Coordination team, ensuring they are motivated and aligned with FRL’s objectives.
- Monitor the progress of the team in closing leads and achieving sales targets, providing guidance and support where necessary.
- Ensure all team members effectively manage their tasks, from lead follow-up to project completion.
Lead Management:
- Oversee the follow-up of leads received through digital marketing and other sources, ensuring feasibility checks are conducted promptly and accurately.
- Ensure that all lead details are accurately entered into the ERP system, tracked through the sales pipeline, and updated regularly.
- Set and monitor targets for the team to ensure successful lead conversion and revenue generation.
New Project Feasibility:
- Lead the assessment of new project feasibility, coordinating with the relevant teams to gather the necessary data and insights.
- Ensure that all potential projects are evaluated for viability, profitability, and alignment with FRL’s strategic goals before moving forward.
Strategic Planning and Lead Generation:
- Develop and implement strategies for generating new leads through targeted marketing campaigns, including email marketing.
- Collaborate with the marketing team to create and manage campaigns aimed at attracting new clients and expanding market reach.
Project Coordination:
- Oversee the scheduling and coordination of new projects, ensuring that all tasks are planned and executed efficiently.
- Monitor project progress, identify potential risks, and implement corrective actions to ensure deadlines are met.
- Update project and trial sheets in the ERP system, ensuring accurate and timely information is available.
Client Liaison and Relationship Management:
- Act as the primary point of contact for key clients, ensuring their requirements are fully understood and met.
- Maintain regular communication with clients, providing updates on project status and addressing any concerns promptly.
- Coordinate with internal teams to ensure that client expectations are consistently exceeded.
Reporting and Monitoring:
- Regularly review and report on the performance of the sales and business development teams, making adjustments as necessary to meet targets.
- Ensure that all project-related tasks are completed on time and that any issues are promptly addressed.
Ad-Hoc Responsibilities:
- Perform additional tasks and responsibilities as needed to support the overall objectives of FRL.
- Represent FRL at industry conferences and events to support business development efforts.
Work Schedule:
Full Time, Monday to Saturday, 10:00a.m. to 7:00pm. Hours may vary on occasion, depending on workload.
