Today’s Task
Event: Today, I decided to formulate Peanut butter
How I felt it (initially before executing the actual task): I find the prospect of new product development exciting.
Actual Task: Product formulation
What did I learn?
Peanut butter is a spread made from ground, dry-roasted peanuts, often consumed with bread and added to milk and smoothies. It is commonly available in creamy and crunchy forms. It commonly contains additional ingredients that modify the taste or texture, such as salt, sweeteners, or emulsifiers. Peanut butter is an excellent source of monounsaturated fatty acids. The peanut butter formulated in Food Research Lab(FRL) contract R&D is made using natural ingredients and does not contain any artificial sweeteners and preservatives. After collecting the ingredients, the peanut butter is ground into a smooth paste. The product was then stored for shelf life analysis.

What went well?
I’ve completed the laboratory trials, and the product has excellent sensory properties. Presently, we’re interested in conducting additional trials to enhance the stability of the product.
What could I have done better?
As a next step, I could carry out a better formulation with improvement in the product’s shelf life.
